Man and Van West London: Flats, Family Homes and Furniture Delivery

West London takes in some of the city's most compact flats and some of its most spread-out suburbs. Tell us which end of that range your move sits in, and we confirm the price before anything is booked.

  • Price upfront, before you book
  • All of London and beyond
  • Seven days a week, 8am to 8pm
  • Phone, WhatsApp or online form

CityGrip Recovery arranges man and van, flat removals, house removals and furniture delivery in West London, covering Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing, Hounslow and Hillingdon, with Brent, Harrow and Richmond upon Thames shared with other regions. The questions differ between inner West London, where access and building rules matter most, and the outer west, where distance and the volume of belongings matter more. You send both postcodes and the details, and we confirm the price before you book.

Two kinds of move in one region

Inner West London, around Kensington, Chelsea, Earl's Court, Notting Hill, Hammersmith and Fulham, is mostly flats and converted houses. The practical questions are the ones in the middle of the city: where the van can stop, whether the building has rules, and how many floors there are.

Further out, in Ealing, Hounslow and Hillingdon, there are more family houses, more driveways and bigger loads, and the journey between addresses is often longer. The questions there are about how much there is to move and how far it is going. Tell us which sounds like your move and we will plan for it.

Areas by borough

Some West London names sit on a borough boundary, and some people would place them in a different part of London. We group them by the borough that mainly covers them. If you are unsure, give us the postcode.

Typical West London moves

Mansion blocks and period conversions

Flats in older buildings may mean staircases, narrow landings and small lifts. Give us floors and measurements of the largest pieces.

Managed apartment buildings

Some buildings have porters, loading areas or lift booking systems. Ask your managing agent and tell us what they require.

Family houses with driveways

Houses further west may allow the van closer to the door. Tell us about parking, and how much storage there is: loft, garage, garden shed.

Long-distance within London

A move from Hillingdon to a flat in Fulham covers real distance. Put both postcodes on the form so the quote reflects the journey.

Bulky furniture and appliances

Large sofas, wardrobes and white goods are a two-mover job, particularly with stairs.

Items from shops and sellers

A purchase to collect or a delivery to a different address. See furniture collection and delivery.

Parking, permits and zones

Councils set their own rules for suspending a bay for a removal van. Kensington and Chelsea explains how suspensions work on its parking suspensions page, and other boroughs have their own pages, which you can find through your local council. Suspensions are requested in advance, so start early. Elsewhere, follow the signs and the Highway Code on yellow lines and loading, and TfL's guidance on red routes where one runs past your address.

The ULEZ covers every London borough, including all of those on this page, so it depends on the vehicle rather than the area. Parts of inner West London are close to the Congestion Charge zone, which covers a defined area of Central London. See TfL's Congestion Charge and ULEZ pages, and ask us whether any charge is included in your quote.

West London removals FAQs

I am moving from a flat in Kensington to a house in Ealing. Which service?

It depends on how much you are moving. A flat with modest furniture may suit a man and van with one or two movers. A larger home is a house removals job. Describe it on the quote form and we will advise.

Is Kensington or Chelsea in West or Central London?

Both labels are used. The borough is covered on this page and on the Central London page. Put the full postcodes on the quote form.

Should I request a parking bay suspension?

It can help on busy streets. The council that controls the street arranges suspensions and needs advance notice. Check through your local council and tell us what you have arranged.

Can you move a washing machine, fridge freezer or cooker?

Tell us what the appliance is and the access at each address, and we will say whether we can do it. Washing machines should be disconnected and drained, and fridge freezers defrosted. A gas cooker should be disconnected, and reconnected at the new home, by a Gas Safe registered engineer (see the HSE guidance). Heavy appliances are usually safer with two movers.

Which borough are Twickenham, Wembley and Harrow in?

Twickenham is in Richmond upon Thames, Wembley in Brent and Harrow in the London Borough of Harrow. They are listed in the table above and on the neighbouring region pages.
