Storage Removals in London

The storage space is yours to arrange. We help plan the transport, access and carrying requirements.

Van and driver from £60/hour

Seven days a week, 8am to 8pm · Quote agreed before booking

CityGrip Recovery arranges transport into or out of customer-arranged storage in London. This is a removals service, not an offer of storage space. You arrange the facility and rental; we discuss the van, any loading help, the journey and the price before you book. A later delivery back from storage is another journey to agree, not an automatic inclusion.

One mover from £80/hour or two from £95/hour. Driver-only includes no loading or unloading help; you arrange both. Storage rental is separate.

Home to storage, storage to home or between units.

Tell us whether items are leaving a home, being collected from a storage unit or moving between facilities. Give both addresses and explain which part of the load is moving. A few boxes from a room and the contents of a whole home need different plans.

Describe furniture, boxes and awkward items, including dimensions and known weights where relevant. If the belongings are already in storage, use an item list or photographs you have rather than estimating only from the unit size. A unit's floor area alone does not tell us how full it is or what can fit in the van.

For a wider house or flat move, the house removals and flat removals guides cover the property side. For student belongings between tenancies, see student removals.

Choose the help around the load and access.

Van and driver starts from £60/hour with no loading or unloading help; you arrange both. One mover starts from £80/hour, and two movers from £95/hour. Explain the inventory and carrying requirements so the proposed assistance and van can be confirmed.

Ask how the quoted time is measured, the minimum booking, any rounding or additional time, and what parking or route charges apply. The hourly rate does not predict how long every transfer will take. Waiting for a gate, a lift or access to the unit can affect the practical plan.

Storage rent, the storage provider's own charges and a later collection are separate from the transport enquiry. Confirm the full quote for the particular journey before agreeing to it.

Check the facility before arranging the van.

Confirm that the storage space is reserved and accessible at the proposed time. Ask the facility about loading areas, entrance height, lifts, trolleys, access codes and any requirement for you to attend in person. Do not assume extended access is available to every customer or vehicle.

For example, Big Yellow's published business-service information describes loading and trolley facilities at its stores. Your own location and agreement may differ, so check the arrangements directly rather than relying on a general description. CityGrip is not presented as a storage-provider partner.

Give the unit number, floor and a contact who can authorise access. If the facility needs identity checks or paperwork completed before access, arrange that with it directly; a transport booking does not complete a storage contract.

Keep the load ready and the destination clear.

Label boxes and make a list of what is being collected. Say whether the whole unit is moving or only selected pieces, and identify anything that must stay. Agree who will open and secure the unit and who will receive the belongings at the other end.

For furniture, measure the route as well as the item. Tell us about corridors, tight turns, ramps and the carry from the loading bay. Packing help and furniture disassembly can be requested, but must be assessed and agreed rather than assumed to be part of every transfer.

Follow the facility's own restrictions on what it accepts. Transport assistance does not make a prohibited item acceptable for storage or establish that an unusual item can be carried.

Rental, transport and cover are separate questions.

Check the storage contract with your chosen facility, including its access rules and any cover it requires. CityGrip does not claim to own the unit, reserve the space or insure belongings for the storage period.

For the move itself, CityGrip holds hire and reward insurance, and goods in transit insurance is available at extra cost. Ask about the cover you need when requesting the quote and confirm the terms that apply to your belongings. Do not assume the storage provider's protection automatically covers the journey.

If you want a return delivery after storage, give the likely date and destination separately. Availability, access, load and the price need to be agreed for that later leg.

Student moves, packing or storage transport?

Your questions, answered.

Do you provide storage space?

This page is for transport to or from storage that you arrange separately. CityGrip does not claim to own the facility, reserve a unit or include rental in the removal price.

How much does a storage removal cost?

Van and driver starts from £60/hour, one mover from £80/hour and two movers from £95/hour. Driver-only includes no loading or unloading help; you arrange both. Confirm the minimum booking, full quote and applicable charges for your particular journey.

What information do you need from the storage facility?

Give the address, unit number, floor, access hours and loading arrangements. Confirm any gate code, lift booking or requirement for you to attend with the facility directly.

Can you collect only some items from my unit?

List exactly which items need moving and which stay. Provide photographs or an inventory where possible, and confirm who will identify the items and authorise access.

Is a later return delivery included?

A return journey is not automatically included. Tell us if you want it discussed and provide the expected date and destination so it can be assessed and quoted separately.

Are my belongings insured while in storage?

Storage-period protection is a matter for your agreement with the facility. For the transport, CityGrip holds hire and reward insurance and goods in transit cover is available at extra cost; ask for the applicable terms before booking.

Let’s plan the details.

Removals run seven days a week, 8am–8pm. Send your inventory, date and access details. A quote enquiry is not a confirmed booking.
