W2: Paddington and Bayswater collection details.

For a Paddington or Bayswater move, give the building number, full postcode and actual collection entrance. A landmark such as Paddington station does not identify a residential loading point. If your address has a managed reception or a separate service approach, obtain its instructions before agreeing a collection time.

For a flat, describe the floor, internal stairs and any lift. Give the lift door opening and usable interior for large furniture rather than simply saying there is a lift. Include the distance from the likely loading position to the building, especially if the approved approach differs from the main pedestrian entrance.

For a seller collection, confirm where the item is stored and who can release it. Ask whether it is assembled or boxed and obtain dimensions and known weight. Explain if the seller will not provide handling assistance so the crew can be assessed for the actual pickup and delivery.

W9: Maida Vale, Maida Hill and the building arrangements.

For a W9 enquiry, identify the building or block name as well as the street. The area name Maida Vale is useful, but it is the individual property's rules and layout that determine the moving route. Ask a managing agent or porter about permitted moving hours, service access and any lift reservation.

State whether the load is one room, a complete flat or selected furniture. Label items that stay behind and include furniture separately from the box count. If a piece will not fit the available lift, explain the proposed alternative before booking; stairs are not automatically a suitable route for every item.

A journey from W2 to W9 can be short while involving different loading positions and building teams. Send both addresses and their own access instructions. The nearby Maida Vale guide offers further preparation detail, but the crew, vehicle and price still need to be agreed around your actual load.

Check the street space separately from estate access.

Do not infer a parking authority or private access right from the postcode alone. Identify the person or authority responsible for the proposed space. Westminster's suspension guidance distinguishes its normal street-bay process from housing-estate land; other streets or land managers need their own current arrangements checked.

Share the loading position that has actually been agreed, plus any height restriction, gate or time slot. Tell us if the receiving building has a different unloading window. An application, visitor arrangement or lift booking should not be treated as permission for every part of the route.

Make the enquiry specific to your move.

Send the inventory, full postcodes, date and access at both ends. Include dimensions and known weights for awkward furniture, and say if you cannot help with carrying. Ticking this checklist does not send an enquiry.

Removals run seven days a week, 8am–8pm. Card and bank transfer are accepted. Hire and reward insurance is held; goods in transit cover is available at extra cost, with applicable terms to confirm.

Your moving questions, answered.

Does this page cover both W2 and W9 moves?

It groups W2 and W9 enquiries for planning, including Paddington, Bayswater and Maida Vale addresses. Send the full postcodes and access details to confirm the actual route, service and availability.

What details help with a W2 or W9 apartment move?

Send the building or block name, approved entrance, floor, usable lift dimensions, loading position and any booking window. Include the inventory and the access at delivery too.

Can a street-bay arrangement include a private loading entrance?

Not automatically. Confirm public parking arrangements with the relevant authority and private or estate access with the land or building manager.

How much is the van and moving help?

Van and driver only starts from £60/hour with no loading or unloading help. One mover and a van starts from £80/hour, two movers and a van from £95/hour. The suitable vehicle, assistance, minimum booking and complete quote must be agreed for the actual load, route and access.

Can I add packing or furniture work?

Packing, materials, furniture disassembly and assembly can be requested and need to be assessed and agreed. Packing materials require advance notice. These tasks are not automatic additions to loading help.

Is a quote a confirmed booking?

No. The proposed service, availability and price must be agreed before the booking is confirmed. Removals run seven days a week, 8am to 8pm.
